TAKING CARE OF PLASTIC WASTE

A REAL END-OF-LIFE SOLUTION FOR PLASTIC MATERIAL

THE ISSUE IS NOT THE PLASTIC

The issue is the plastic waste and where it ends up. Is it reused, is it repurposed, or is it recycled? Does it close the loop on the circular economy of plastic?

Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) studies on grocery bags performed in different countries by independent organizations spanning two decades show that plastic is the greenest choice - having significantly lower average impacts on the environment than paper bags, even with 100% recycle content.

PLASTIC WASTE TODAY

Recycling does not solve the problem of plastic waste. Since 1950, global annual production of plastics has increased from two million tons to over 381 million tons, and that approximately one-third of all plastics produced are single-use plastics - designed to be used only once and then thrown away.

  • In the United States, more than 36 million tons of plastic end up as Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) annually;
  • About 17% is combusted;
  • About 9% is recycled  (91% of plastic isn't recycled) resulting in 27 Million tons of plastic waste ending up in landfills.

INTRODUCING ENZYMATIC TECHNOLOGY

PLASTICS FOR A CIRCULAR ECONOMY

Right now — today — WORRY FREE PLASTICS offers ground-breaking, patented technology which major domestic and international companies have integrated into their manufacturing process, creating products that maintain Recyclability and are capable of Accelerated Biodegradation, including Industrial Composting.

Worry Free Plastic’s enzymatic agent is designed to augment current and future Reduce-Reuse-Recycle environmental initiatives by supporting sustainable and recyclable plastics and packaging development. This agent accelerates the return to nature of petroleum-based plastic in an end-of-life outcome leaving no microplastics while meeting all three Circular Economy Principles. Circular economy best practices consider the entire lifecycle of  products, from raw materials to end-of-life disposal. This approach helps to minimize waste, extend the life of  products, and ensures that those products return safely to nature at their end-of-life.

Worry Free Plastics offers this technology amalgamated within Virgin Polymers, Post Consumer Recycled Resin (PCR) and Post Industrial Recycled Resin (PIR) or in stand-alone agent/additive form to accommodate your specific product and masterbatch needs. These options require no change to your current manufacturing infrastructure or process flow.

Our organic agent works with petroleum based substrates to create bags, furniture, cutlery, medical waste packaging, nitrile gloves, etc. that align with both the Ellen MacArthur Foundation’s Circular Economy Principles and the U.N.’s Plastic Waste Management Guidelines.

Make the choice for a sustainable future.
